Thank-you

Many of you have been asking where you can send flowers or what you can do to help. If you would like to contribute to the "Michael Quintana Fund" to help us with medical expenses, the link to make this contribution is on the first page of this blog. We would also like to encourage all of you to consider being organ donors. In order to do this you must register with http://www.organdonor.gov/. (Just registering as an organ donor when you get your drivers license is not enough.) Our family would like to thank everyone for your love and support through this difficult time.

  1. Early Monday morning here in Denver. The last comment which we had posted was at 9:10 A.M. on Friday April 24th. We had addressed our comments to Mike that day. That was the day Neysa had left the laptop with him in ICU. Then came that dreaded telephone call about 3:00 A.M. Saturday morning. We've shed a lot of tears and had a lot to do since then, so posting a new comment was far from our minds--although we read every single one from each of you, multiple times. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to each of you for your prayers and expressions of sympathy. Meeting Renee and Neysa at Denver International Airport last Wednesday noon, as they hand carried their Fathers remains with them, was bitter/sweet beyond description. It truly was not the outcome we had hoped and prayed so hard for. But now we have these two heroic young women back in our midst, to love and cherish, and life goes on. Mike's Memorial Service at the Buckhorn Exchange on Saturday was just as he would have loved it to be...more family and friends than could fit in the building, everyone eating and drinking at one of his and Susans favorite hangouts, everyone meeting each other and sharing stories and good times from the past, music provided by his friends, and touching and fitting scripture readings from a long time Pastor friend of his family's. The stories made us laugh and they made us cry, but they reminded us of the richness that Mike added to our lives in having known and loved him. The release of the balloons into the heavens as his gleaming white Harley-Davidson Heritage Springer made it's thunderous departure was...sooo Mike. We will all miss him. Now, all that is left to do on this site, is to thank everyone once more for your thoughts, prayers, and for being part of our lives Stay in touch in Mikes memory.
