I'm Improving Daily

I really haven't had any interest in looking at my computer-nor could I sit up in bed. I'm so happy to hear from all of you through Neysa in the last few days of my recovery. I feel like every few hours I'm making progress. I have a exercises machine for my lungs called a "respiromoter". It has been improving with time. Today I went to see dad. They wheeled me across the hospital and I sat a chair in the room with him. He continues to be pretty tired but was answering my questions for the most part. I assured him he was getting better and that every day after the operation it gets a little easier. It's kind of crazy how I can almost completely understand what he's feeling. Keep him in your prayers so that his kidneys will turn around completely.

  1. Renee & Neysa you are both such brave wemen to do such a selfless act to help your father. Renee I am so glad to hear about the progress you and your father are making toward recovery and Neysa the great care you are giving them. Renee and Mike I am praying for your recovery and that God will heal you and take away your pain and suffering. Neysa I pray everyday that god will give you the strength and support that you need emotionally, mentally, and physically to look after your family and give them all the love and care they need while they are recovering. I send you all my love, my prayers, and positive healing energy!

  2. You guys are amazing! I've been silently, but emotionally, watching things as they have transpired and didn't want to take space with a comment. But Renee, I want to let you know that you are my hero.

Know that you are all in my prayers and I look forward to hearing more as you both continue to recover.

  3. Thinking of You.
Early yesterday morning I went to a small Holy Saturday service. Afterwards all the ladies began clearing the Lenten decor to make way for the Easter celebration. As I watched them scurry around, I noticed a candle display off to the side. It included many candles but there were two very large ones in front. I asked if it would be ok to light them...
So Mike on this Easter Sunday, in a little church on the East End of Long Island a bright light is shining for your full recovery and safe return. God Bless you and your wonderful girls, your entire family and Susan too.
    Love always,
    Jeanne and Jack
(Renee-we're going to have to come to the pig roast this summer just to see these "cartwheels" you can do!!) Keep getting strong.

  4. Joel- you're not taking up space making comments! I really love hearing from you and everyone. It's really amazing to see how many people are thinking and praying for us.

Jeanne and Jack- Thank you for lighting the candle. I'll let my dad know when we talk to him next time. Both my dad and I look forward to seeing everyone at the pigroast this year!

Renee-Thank you. These were the words we needed to hear today!

  5. Happy Easter To all of you in India.

Al, Sandy and I just got back from church. It was the first time they had mass in it's newly remodeled condition. It was a very nice service and the church looked beautiful. I prayed for all of you as I always do but this time with a special emphasis on healing and your recovery. I also prayed for the poor people of India who aren't exposed to such a fortunate lifestyle that we so often take for granted.

Prior to going we had Pumpkin Spice coffee and craisin/orange skones with fresh fruit that Sandy prepared. We arrived prior to the 7:00 service letting out so when the service was over we got to go right in and choose our seats.

The plan is to go to Pat and Teri's for brunch and then we'll come back here. Al said he would try to send you some pictures later today.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
    I love you,
    Mom
