We're Going to be Indian Movie Stars!

Firs of all surgery has been postponed until next Tuesday but as we have learned, nothing is set in stone. So we are just patiently waiting.
For some reason my internet connection and connection with SKYPE has been impossible. I hope that will change. I'll ask today what the problem is. I'm borrowing a computer in the e-library today. There are Doctors waiting in line for everyone to finish here. So, I'll make this brief...
Yesterday a few reporters from an Indian tv station came in and interviewed us for a documentary they are doing on Medical Tourism. They asked dad a few questions and followed us down the hall for some "action" shots. Dad was hoping he wouldn't lose his pants (as he often does) while we were walking. He's gotten so skinny that there's nothing left to hold the pants up. I'm telling you, they need to make "maternity" pants for men. It might be helpful!
Anyways, after answering questions and walking down the hall for action shots dad took a nice nap. He says "it's hard being a movie star"! I gave the two reporter women my business cards and asked them to email me when the documentary becomes available. (I was hoping they would check out my Slumber Parties website too-I'll get some hits from India Kelly;)
We are reading your updates daily. Even though we can't log into the website to narrate we can still read it and make comments. Dad looks forward to hearing from everyone daily.

  2. Hey guys.

I had to do a double take when I saw your weekend pictures; I thought that the guy holding the camel was Mike in his regional attire!!

We have been following your blog and are thankful for the updates. I am humbled by the bravery, love and dedication that each of you possess.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Keep your spirits up!

    Love you all

  3. Today is the first day I feel human after getting back from convention. Renee, we took you EVERYWHERE and told as many people to pray for you guys as would listen! I plan on making a short video of the pics, when I do I will come back here and post them for you. I am sorry to hear about the delay, but do so strongly believe in there being a reason. Hold tight and just know that we LOVE reading your posts as much as you love reading our comments!

  4. The pictures are beautiful! I would love to see the ones with you in them. I miss having you here. Please try to post some of the three of you. I know there must be some! Have you gotten to the Lotus Temple? It is just north and west of you. I think you would enjoy seeing it, it looked impressive from Google Earth.
As you know, God always knows what is best for you. The postponement will help to get the count where it needs to be for a better recovery. Heads up! So many people are praying for you and supporting you.

  5. Well - we'll just hope that next week is better than this week for surgery. I've been meaning to ask....how's the computer lessons coming along? I notice that the updates are from Renee and Neysa...I think it's time for an update from the main man. Your experience with learning the computer can't be much different from Matt's here. The doctor finally got him a computer and every day he comes home and complains to me about what he learned, or had to learn that day. We will look forward to hearing from you Mike....Love you! Suzi

  7. The main man is learning the computer little by little. I'll get him on here later today after they drain him.
Aunt Cecilia-no we haven't made it into the lotus temple, just drove by. We were talking about doing it this weekend.
We are trying to get more pictures of us on the board. Everything else just seems so interesting we forgot about us!

  9. Good day Quintana ladies and gent!! It's 3:16a and I'm just getting settled from work and getting ready to settle into a solid slumber of deep sleep...I hope!! It sounds like all of you are having a relatively nice time while you're away which makes me so very happy!! Renee, I'm sorry that you've been having such a difficult time with the computer communications that's a bummer, but it's nice to see the new posts from you!! I'm very proud of you for being the incredible source of strength and optimism that you've been throughout this entire situation, it takes a great spirit and person to contribute such a gift and we all love you very much for being that force in our family right now and forever more. Neysa said it best, you truly are someone to be inspired by and remembered for because of what you stand for and the love you have always represented to family and friends. You may not always have the reminder that you are quite special to me, but you are and always have been incredible to me and I love you dearly. I pray that you and one of my precious uncles continue to maintain the strength and passion necessary to carry the two of you through this surgery and recovery. I love you all!! Sweet dreams. Drina

  10. You'll have to keep us posted when the documentary will be on TV here so we can all watch............

Renee, you give so many people so much inspiration - what you are doing is remarkable and takes a lot of courage and strength - I know you have no other choice but to try to help your dad, which I think any of us would do in this situation - but following you through this journey has really shown just how strong you and your dad are (as well as the rest of your family and those with you)

Renee you know we all love you and can't wait to have you back - hang in there and know we are all taking this journey with you daily!!!

    XOXO Gerri
